Gatlinburg is nestled in the heart of the Smoky Mountains, so it’s a prime location for hiking and mountain biking. You’ll find no limit to the trails and beautiful sights of nature that you can see through a full day’s hike or a short walk from your campground. Another attraction to the area is Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort, where you can ski and snowboard down the Smokies with your family. Additionally, you can enjoy the many mountain coasters throughout the area, if the weather is warm enough.
Other Attractions
Take home an old-timey photo from one of the many shops along the main strip, and you’ll have a keepsake that your family will treasure for years! You’ll find wacky museums like Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum or the Crime Museum. And don’t forget to stop by Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, which is considered one of the top ten aquariums in the U.S. If you’re looking for dinner and a show, try out Dollywood’s Stampede or one of the many dinner theaters in town.
