Private and Membership Campgrounds in California and the U.S.

Private campgrounds may not always offer the massive open grounds that public campgrounds do, but they certainly do usually provide idyllic settings and convenient locations. Most private campgrounds also feature lots of amenities for campers, including swimming pools and spas, playgrounds, game rooms and arcades, outdoor sports such as basketball and volleyball, sometimes even golf. In addition, many also have on-site markets, cafes, outdoor eateries and more. Full RV hookups and beautiful settings are not uncommon in private campgrounds. While some private campgrounds may require membership, others are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Here are some of our favorite Private Campgrounds . . .

KOA Campgrounds

KOA has over 500 campgrounds across North America with a mission of connecting people to the outdoors.  Family friendly campgrounds with lots of amenities, KOA is a great place to get away, unwind and enjoy camping in the great outdoors.

Thousand Trails

Thousand Trails has campgrounds in 25 states in the U.S.  See the map below to see where over 190 Thousand Trails campgrounds are located.

Vista Resorts
